Well Seasoned Reader Challenge

I didn't do very well with the challenges I signed up for last year so I've avoided them for a while but I think I'm going to get back into them. This sounds like a great one to start with.

The Well Seasoned Reader Challenge
Here's how it works:
Rule #1: The challenge runs from January 1 to March 31. (No cheating and starting before!)
Rule #2: You must read three books. After that, it's up to you how much you want to read.
Rule #3: The books must:
have a food name in the title
OR be about cooking/eating
OR have a place name in the title
OR be about one (or more) person's travel experience
OR be about a specific culture
OR be by an author whose ethnicity is other than your own

I've just finished the first book so I just have to read two more. Here are my choices:
The Ladies' Auxiliary by Tova Mirvis
Still Life with Rice by Helie Lee
Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel
Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Tall Grass by Sandra Dallas
Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata

I'm looking forward to this one. Thanks to Melissa at Book Nut for hosting it.

Welcome, Kim. That's a good list of books, there. I hope you find some that you like! You can put links to your reviews up at the review site when you finish them. :) Can't wait to see what you think of what you read!
