I've always wished that books had ratings like movies do. Here are my ratings for the books I'm reading.

Signs of the Economic Times
I have now seen a sign of the bad economy that is most upsetting. I went to my local library last night and there was a sign posted with new library hours starting next week. Monday through Thursday will have 2 hours shaved off, one in the morning and one in the evening. On Friday and Saturday, the library will only be open from noon to 6:00! When I asked about the new hours, the librarian said in a disgusted voice that the city doesn't know how to manage their money. Ugh!! I love to go to the library during the last hour that it's open after the kids have gone to bed. I think I will write a letter to the city in complaint but I'm not sure it will do much good.

Our city and county libraries have done this too, which just stinks. The crazy thing is with the economy as it is, I'm sure more people than ever as using the library. Grrr. It's irritating.
Isn't it awful? Our libraries close at 5 on Friday, at 4 on Saturday. Closed on Sundays when it's not the school year, and most close at 8 pm. Snif. It's distressing for me, honestly. The library is where I go to get out of the house, and when it's closed, I feel out of sorts.
"Misery loves company." It does make me feel a little better that I'm not the only one suffering. Thanks, Susan and Stephanie for making me feel better but I'm sorry you're experiencing the same trials.
Our library closes at 5 or 6 on Friday and Saturday. I have gone more than once on the weekends to find them closed. But they are open until 9pm during the week, which is pretty late.
That last one was from me. The hazards of leaving comments with a one year old nearby.
