The rest I donate to the library. (They give me credit for overdue fines- it's a good deal for everyone.) As for reading all the other books around the house that I haven't yet had the pleasure- count me in! I have hundreds of books on my shelves I haven't read yet, but I still buy books, check them out of the library, and request them from publishers. It's an addiction! Good luck with your challenge (and proving your dad wrong).Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05344704891037668456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053542797413719803.post-2915856409206306592009-05-10T11:31:00.000-06:002009-05-10T11:31:00.000-06:00Dearest Kim,

I wish I could accept your challenge but I am way too busy, playing golf and raquetball, to give the time that it requires to read 25 books in the rest of the year. You realize that is 4 books a month or one a week. Just think of all the golf I would be missing out on.DADhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03998272347336389369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053542797413719803.post-3297127648340277732009-05-08T18:04:00.000-06:002009-05-08T18:04:00.000-06:00I know, I so need to read what I own. I was thinking books you haven't read but now I'm confused. I think I need to do this challenge too because I have several books that I bought a DI and I have never read them. There's sooooo much I want to read and soooo little time.<br />I love your blog!Julie J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06665414566612299852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053542797413719803.post-34725937841274607272009-05-08T14:44:00.000-06:002009-05-08T14:44:00.000-06:00I know exactly what you mean! I'm doing it this year. I like knowing that I can read them again if the mood strikes me. Once I'm done with this challenge I'll have to give myself another challenge to part with the books that I know I won't read twice. :)Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01585721638280496666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053542797413719803.post-38848193736420619432009-05-08T14:29:00.000-06:002009-05-08T14:29:00.000-06:00I think it's a great challenge! So I want to finish those, but I also want to get rid of the books I know I will never want to read again. Of course, the fact that that will make room for NEW books is totally coincidental. Really.Cindy Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15366499649500153059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5053542797413719803.post-59456354859219027272009-05-08T12:02:00.000-06:002009-05-08T12:02:00.000-06:00I don't know why, but I always feel like it's a wa...I don't know why, but I always feel like it's a waste of time to read a book twice. Consciously, I know that's ridiculous- it's a pleasure to enjoy a good book over again, but there's some part of me that thinks, "Yeah, but you could be using this time to open up your mind to something completely different..." Dumb, I know. I think I'll modify this challenge to simply make myself read something that I own that I've already read. I'll try to make it something deep and meaningful so that maybe I can get more out of it the second time around and not feel like it's a waste of time. ;-)KaseyQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18394640941485859111noreply@blogger.com
